Can you tell what it is yet?

Hi folks,
Waj here again for the monthly report! Firstly as many of you know, Mum has been waiting patiently for a very long time to have our own place rebuilt. Dad has been busy with the holiday cottages so this place where we are, is slowly dropping into ruin. I personally find it ok, I've got beds to lie on and two meals a day so it doesn't matter much to me. Mum however was used to having a nice house when they first moved to the farm and this accommodation was supposed to be temporary and that was nine years ago! Anyway they finally had the plans passed earlier this year so Dad has started on the long awaited log cabin to live in while they rebuild this place.
He has built it all from scratch, not a kit, here it is taking shape...............................................................

the finished exterior................................................................................................................................

It looks like its got a roof with windows in, doesn't it? Its actually the roof of the stables behind! This will be our new garden.......................................................................................................................................

It looks a bit wild but I'm sure we'll lick it into shape! Here's the cabin from the side..................................

Anyway, that's all the cabin pictures for now, the inside isn't finished yet so will save those piccies for later!
The other news of the month is that Mum had a little "do" with Faithy whippet. Dad had gone off early to Bristol at about 6.15am to go to a funeral and young Jason had already left for work when Mum walked us round the pond where we go every morning. We had just got back to the gate when Faith keeled over on the edge of the field. As she had got one dog down and all the rest of us milling about loose, she wasn't sure what to do at first, we all realised there was a problem and followed Mum in while she carried Faith and put her in the dog bed while she phoned the vet. As the vet had to phone back Mum left Faith upstairs while waiting for the phone call. Next thing, Faith is downstairs and wanting her breakfast! by this time it was obvious it wasn't an emergency, so Mum booked her in for a mid morning appointment. Well it appears now that Faith has a grade 4 heart murmur and needs to be on tablets twice a day as the heart wasn't pumping sufficiently to take oxygen round her body which is why the legs gave out. Well the tablet situation has been very amusing to say the least. She wouldn't have them straight even though they're meat flavoured, then Mum tried hiding it in pate, which was licked off before spitting the tablet out! It now goes into some nature diet crushed (thanks to Aunty Wendy who left some for us to try, and delicious it is too, second favourite to lasagna for me!) and she eats it so long as Mum is not standing over her watching!
Well things are quieter here on the farm now the main holiday season is at an end and apparently Mum and Dad are off on their annual excursion to Rhodes in a couple of weeks time, so we get to play young Jason up again. Hee hee..............................
Anyway, that's all the news for now, just off for dinner then having a relax before watching Downton Abbey, I can just see me tripping gaily down those posh stairs! Catch you later.

Waj x
